Regulatory Compliance Services LLC, was founded to help commercial real estate lenders and borrowers (and other stakeholders) inexpensively understand and mitigate a host of exposures that arise from Stormwater Regulatory Compliance. While we will guarantee our clients will be compliant and not receive any regulatory fines, importantly, modern ESG guidelines will be followed and headline risk mitigated.
Properties and MS4 municipalities (populations greater than 10,000), which fall within the EPA guidelines outlined in the Clean Water Act, have been subject to regulation for 50-years. Historically, these regulations were not regularly enforced but with a renewed focus on the environmental contamination and a generation of buildings that are failing because of stormwater issues, we have seen more fines, more civil litigation, and even criminal prosecution. We have discovered that while we eat, sleep, and breathe municipal, state, and federal guidelines, many of our clients are delighted to partner up with us and cede all regulatory oversight to our team of experts.
Stormwater systems are defined by the runoff from impervious surfaces, such as roofs or parking lots, where water is directed to catch basins and/or retention ponds. We typically inspect and report on the entire system. Our services include 1) a Statement of Condition & Compliance, and 2) annual reports specifically designed to comply with EPA filing guidance. To the extent systems require inspection, maintenance, or repairs, RCS can oversee every need.
